This 2 hour introduction class covers a ton of information that you can use right away.  This workshop provides you with a wonderful overview off 11 different modalities in one class!  Would you like to help the animals in your care live happier, healthier and longer lives?  Natural animal care focuses on the whole animal – the body, mind and spirit.  Learn about animal communication, energy work, EFT/Tapping, kinesiology, nutrition, flower essences, aromatherapy, crystal and color therapy, homeopathy and massage.  This is a great opportunity to learn how you can help prevent and resolve health and behavioral issues.  Put to practice what you learn in the class and start to deepen your bond with animals like never before.  Watch some demonstrations.  This is an ideal workshop for pet parents and animal professionals that are interested in learning more about holistic animal care.  It may inspire you to learn more for the benefit of the animals in your care and even your own life.

Instructor(s)

Kim worked with animals at the Houston Zoo in Texas from 1991-2017. She progressed from zookeeper to senior supervisor during her 25+ year career.  During her tenure at the zoo, she helped manage the care of over 1,000 domestic, livestock, wildlife, and exotic animals in the Children's Zoo, including the amazing bug house.  She helped develop and manage the zoo's safety committee for seven years.  Kim helped bring holistic animal care to the Houston Zoo with her knowledge and skills.  She even arranged for her holistic vets to do acupuncture, chiropractic, laser therapy and more on the zoo animals and this is still going on today.  She recently moved to Livingston to pursue her dream of living and teaching near Yellowstone.  Her world into holistic animal care started over 20 years ago when she discovered joint supplements for her horse, Tara, featured in the photo.

Kim worked for 6 months with Dr. Marcia DuBois Martin, a holistic veterinarian in Houston, until Dr. Martin relocated out of state.  She started teaching her first animal communication and holistic animal care classes at Dr. Martin's clinic in 2006.  Since then, she has taught hundreds of students from all over the world, empowering them to make a difference in their lives.

She studied animal communication with several professional animal communicators and a Tibetan shaman.  She is an internationally known professional animal communicator and teacher.  She is listed in Penelope Smith’s animal communication directory.

Kim received training as a reiki master/teacher (RMT) and studied the newer energy, New Paradigm Multidimensional Transformation (formerly Shamballa.)  She taught reiki and then Multidimensional Transformation for years.  More recently, she was guided by the animals and St. Francis of Assisi to create a new form of energy work that the animals wanted people to learn, called Sacred Animal Spirit Alchemy (SASA.)  Listening to the animals' guidance, she now only teaches SASA.

She received her equine massage practitioner certification (CEMP) from the Western Montana School of Equine Massage and her canine massage practitioner training from Companion Animal Massage in Texas.

Kim studied the incredible Medicine Pony work with the amazing Janice Terra, the Lady Horse Whisperer, who has helped to heal so many people and horses in her profound way.

In pursuit of better care and knowledge of her horses' hooves, she studied natural hoof care with Martha Olivo, one of the top barefoot hoof trimmers and educators in the world, and became a certified hoof groom.  She has trimmed her own horses' hooves.

She attended the certified herbalist course taught by Donna Fry, ND (naturopathic doctor) which focused on herbs and aromatherapy.  She has taken additional courses in aromatherapy including spiritual aromatherapy with Gritman Essential Oils.

Kim also studied Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) with Helen Racz, a professional EFT practitioner.
