High School Equivalency Test (HiSET)

The High School Equivalency Test (HiSET®) is a widely recognized alternative to a high school diploma. HiSET® is a battery of tests which measures a student's academic skills as compared to a high school graduate. If passed, a Montana High School Equivalency Diploma is issued by the state of Montana. Most colleges and employers accept this as equivalent to a regular high school diploma. You may take the HiSET if you are at least 16 years old and are not enrolled in high school. The HiSET test is offered twice a month at Learning Partners and costs $65.

The HiSET tests your knowledge in:

  • Writing
  • Reading
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Mathematics

Learning Partners can help you determine your current skill level and the preparation you'll need to be ready for the exam. Learning Partners can help you improve your reading, writing and math skills. We offer assistance in the computer skills necessary for taking the HiSET. We also provide career exploration, research in post secondary education options, and assistance in applying for financial aid. All of our services are free!

We do expect a commitment of 5 – 12 hours a week until you have completed a minimum of 40 hours of instruction. With this time commitment, we feel that you will be better prepared to reach your goals.

Learning Partners conducts Adult Education Orientation every Tuesday at 12:30. Call Sheila at 823-6363 to schedule an appointment and learn more about Learning Partners. Learning Partners is a service of Community Health Partners.
