Essential Oils and Emotions

Registration is closed for this event

This class will focus on research and data surrounding how the human brain processes scent, why it is so powerful, and talk about the impact of a variety of essential oils on emotions/moods. Students will go home with samples of some of the oils we discuss.

Instructor(s)

Shannon Kirby is a Montana native (Big Timber) who spent a decade on the East Coast for prep school, college and work before coming home to Montana.  She is an HR professional of 20+ years and loved teaching at MSU while she was getting her maser’s (as well as full time afterwards).  She has always been fascinated with scent and its close ties to memories.  She has been using essential oils for 15-20 years but very seriously for the last 3-4 years.  Self-admittedly a bit of a skeptic about all things kind of “woo-woo”, she watched essential oils making huge differences for friends and family and has never looked back. She loves teaching/ educating, answering questions, and empowering people on their own exploratory journeys.
