Tame Your Anxiety: Ancient Wisdom to Ease Modern Stress

In our four classes together, Kristine will offer a traditional healing perspective on the origins of and practices to ease anxiety. Topics will include defining anxiety; the physical, mental, and more subtle contributors to anxiety; and ways to manage and/or ease anxiety through a variety
of practices suited to each individual. Practices to be discussed include diet, exercise, breathing and meditation, and more.

Instructor(s)

Kristine Backes left a corporate communications career in 2010 to deepen her study of yoga, its sister science Ayurveda, and other nature-based mind-body-soul care traditions. Her education included two journeys to India followed by several years as a partner in a natural health clinic in Portland, when she returned to the Montana mountains for a lifetime of nature learning. 

Kristine offers consultations, workshops, and mentoring rooted in nature-based healing traditions. She loves to show people how to listen to their own wisdom by moving closer to harmony with nature, whether through diet, lifestyle, astrology, or other traditional methods of connecting with the natural world around us. Kristine is a registered yoga teacher and holds a master's degree in organizational leadership. 

Kristine has been a part time resident of the Livingston area since she was four years old and is thrilled to now call Livingston her full-time home.
