This one-day class is focused on familiarizing women with hand and power tools and basic carpentry skills. Learn to safely use the chop saw, jig saw, drill press, measuring devices and fastening systems.  These skills apply to many other projects and repairs and you will gain the confidence you need to delve into the world of carpentry.

The course is based around Liv’s design for a hanging bike shelf.  We know you love your bike, and now you can display it like the piece of art it is!

  • Please wear close-toed shoes, no loose clothing, and have long hair tied back.
  • No experience necessary!
  • Bring a lunch, a water bottle, pencil, and notebook.
  • All materials included in the cost of the class.

Heidi Rogers was inspired during her studies of architecture to learn the trades and practical carpentry skills.  She finds the skeletons of building inspiring and the complex process fascinating.  She now works as an Independent Contractor on framing and finish jobs.  The building process can be incredibly beautiful and rewarding and she is excited to encourage other woman to gain competence and confidence around power tools!
